Celebrating 18 Years in Business
"My husband Paul and I love Santé. It's sort of our celebration restaurant...We love the delicious food, the atmosphere, and the fact that Adam comes out to visit. So special."
- Carol Jackson.
Santé, in historic downtown Matthews, is a fine dining eclectic French/American themed restaurant focused on serving locally raised products. The menu changes seasonally to reflect what the owners find available at the local Matthew’s farmer’s market, right across the street.
Santé is housed in a historic building, constructed during the 1880’s, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The exposed brick walls give Santé the feel of old world charm that is reminiscent of places like Charleston, Savannah, New Orleans, or Paris. Our intimate dining room is perfect for a romantic dinner or quiet evening for any gathering.
Santé is named for a toast in French, “a votre santé”, translated to “to your health.” in honor of Chef Adam’s French heritage.
Co-owners Veronica and Adam Reed moved to Matthews in 1997 and opened Santé in 2001. They are excited to serve the Matthews community and the extended Charlotte area.
